Hi hey hello! Nice to e-meet you.
My name is Christina and I freelance at the intersection of community, events, and product.
With over a decade of experience, I bring a balance of intuitive understanding, big-picture vision, and practical execution to every project.
I shine brightest at personal connection, strategic thinking, and getting projects across the finish line. As a collaborator I value fresh ideas, accountability, and clear communication.
For the past 5 years, I’ve worked remotely while traveling, finding inspiration and new friends in every corner. When not in front of my laptop, you can find me playing outside.

Texas Roots
Texas Roots
I grew up in the cowboy countryside in Texas, USA before landing in Austin for university. I received my undergraduate degree in Film and cut my teeth working at the SXSW Film Festival.
Over the course of 4 festivals, I worked under 3 incredible women leaders who taught me so much about hard work, attention to detail, and getting the job done on time.
At SXSW I was trusted to build and grow content and marketing. It was fast-paced, fun, and always rewarding when the buzz and lights of Opening Night at the Paramount Theater finally arrived.
California Dreaming
California Dreaming
The summer before my last SXSW fest, I was approved to work remotely in California.
I didn’t know it at the time, but this is when my path really started to click into place. Working remotely in Los Angeles showed me how productive and efficient I could be - without an office.
I also took my first-ever solo road trip to Big Sur. The thrill of exploring on my own in such a stunning, wild landscape hooked me, and I knew travel was in my future for good.
After hanging my hat up at SX and one fun, jet-setting year of traveling in the states, I decided to bet on myself and California—and moved my life to LA.
Life in #LosAngeles
Life in #LosAngeles
It took time to find my way in LA—I even helped manage a hostel in exchange for a free place to stay. I found work as a digital strategist and writer for a boutique travel publishing company, but the office environment was not for me.
While at my full-time job, I also joined a startup called Outsite as a part-time Community Manager for 2 coliving spaces in Venice Beach. I fell in love with the concept of Outsite’s business (offering accommodation for remote workers and digital nomads) and found I thrived in the fast-paced build-as-you-go startup environment.
As a result, I was able to join Outsite full-time and was quickly promoted to Head of Community and Events where my role went fully remote.
Taking on the World
Taking on the World
Fast forward, and I’m still living my dream of working remotely and exploring the world.
After 6 years with Outsite, my journey culminated in a leadership role as Head of Guest Experience, where I bridged design and operations, supporting teams worldwide. In 2023, I closed this incredible chapter and stepped into a new one.
In 2024, I fully embraced freelancing through my venture, Spark and Burn Studio, partnering with clients across industries—from AI to wellness—to bring bold ideas to life.
Travel continues to inspire me & fuel my zest for life. Some of my favorite destinations to date include Indonesia, Guatemala (pictured right), Sardegna, Mexico City, Marrakesh, Santa Teresa, and Hawaii.
